Sarah "Sally" E. Vincent SUMMERVILLE - Sarah "Sally" E. Vincent, 83, of Summerville, wife of Charles J. Vincent, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at her residence. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church from 6 to 8 o'clock. A Funeral mass will be held there on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 9 o'clock AM. Sarah, daughter of Anna Elizabeth (Madill) Eccleston and Guy C. Eccleston, was born on December 30, 1932 in Charlevoix, Michigan. She graduated Marywood Academy Grand Rapids, MI in 1950 and graduated from Acme Business School in 1951. She worked for the law firm of Hubbard, Fox and Thomas in Lansing, MI before becoming a wife and mother. She is a current member of St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Columbiettes, a Catholic women's organization serving God and their community through Faith, Hope and Charity, and of the St. Vincent de Paul society providing service to individuals in need. She also served as a Eucharistic minister, bringing Holy Communion to the sick. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, quilting, crotchet, genealogy, traveling, and helping those in need. She loved birds, her beloved home state of Michigan and loons. She was a strong woman of faith who dearly loved being with her children, grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends. She survived thyroid cancer and two bouts of breast cancer before succumbing to the disease. Surviving in addition to Charles, her loving husband of 50 years: two sons: Michael T. Dunkerley (Janie) of South Carolina and Christopher A. Dunkerley (Theresa, deceased) of New Hampshire; four daughters: Susan Dunkerley Evans (Bruce) of Virginia; Tracy Vincent Spivey (David) of Virginia; Kathryn Dunkerley Lawrence (Michael) of Texas; and Ann Vincent Lozeau (Jody) of New Hampshire; daughter in law: Secia B. Dunkerley; 19 grandchildren: Michael, Christopher, Ryan, Benjamin, Jordan, Brandon (deceased), Tyler, Marc, and Jacob Dunkerley, Becky Hilton, Sarah, Bobby, Anthony and Sam Evans, Michelle Thompson Hall, Matthew Thompson, Kristine Lawrence Faldik, Kelly Lawrence, David Lozeau and three surrogate grandchildren: Gabe, Abby and Haley Carnegie; 11 great grandchildren: Elijah and Carson Dunkerley, Charlie and Cooper Evans, Aiden, Kyler, Reaghan, Greyson and Xander Hall, Ella Thompson and Jacob Johnson; Multitude of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her mother: Anna Elizabeth Madill; father: Guy C. Eccleston; husband: David Allen Dunkerley; Sons: David Mark Dunkerley and Peter James Dunkerley; Sister: Mary Schwab Gorsline; brothers: Robert, Joseph, Charles, and William Schwab, Floyd, William, John and James Eccleston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Theresa the Little Flower Catholic Church, 1101 Dorchester Rd. Summerville, SC 29485 or a charity of your choice.
