Sarah Peck Obituary

Sarah Jane Peck DANIEL ISLAND - Jane Peck, 65, a resident of Daniel Island and former long-time resident of New Canaan, Connecticut passed away December 11. She struggled with progressive health issues during her last month, passing peacefully of heart failure. She leaves behind her mother Sally Arkedis (Mt. Pleasant, SC) her brother, George Arkedis (Atlanta, GA), three children, Margaret Hudrek (Norristown,PA), George (Monroe, CT), and Elizabeth (Cedar Rapids, IA), three grandchildren and her cherished dog, Buddy. While raising her family in New Canaan, Jane was active in the Junior League. Her involvement led to a tenure as President of the Stamford-Norwalk Connecticut League from 1989-1990 and a consulting career. She worked closely with chapters nationwide during a 25 year career. She is remembered as a devout wife of the late Richard Peck, nurturing mother and successful entrepreneur. Her many friends and neighbors on Daniel Island and the East Coast were of great support and companionship during her final days A funeral Mass will be celebrated in her honor January 13th, 10:00 am: The Church of the Holy Cross 299 Seven Farms Drive Daniel Island, SC 29492. A reception will be held after Mass at the Daniel Island Club 600 Island Park Drive Daniel Island, SC 29492. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to: Building Fund Saint Clare of Assisi Church 885 Island Park Road, Suite A Daniel Island, SC 29492.
