Sara Fair Fleming Goose Creek - Sara Fair Cochran Fleming, 84, of Goose Creek, widow of Richard M. Fleming, passed away peacefully at her son's home on Yonges Island on Monday, September 6, 2021. A private family viewing will be held from 10 to 11 o'clock. Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Plantation Memorial Gardens, Moncks Corner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lutheran Hospice of South Carolina, 1885 Rifle Range Road, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Mrs. Fleming was born August 6, 1937 in Manning, SC, daughter of the late Charlton T. Cochran and Alice Coulliette Cochran of Summerville. She graduated from Palmer Business College. Mrs. Fleming was employed by POMFLANT Civil Service and retired as a secretary after 34 years of service. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She enjoyed working jumble word puzzles and her lunches with the "Palmer Girls". She also volunteered with her friends at Dorchester Jewelers on special occasions. The family sends a "Heartfelt" thanks for the loving care Mrs. Fleming received from Lutheran Hospice, Mt. Pleasant. Survivors include two sons: Robert M. Fleming (Lynn) of Hollywood and Maurice Fleming (Stacy) of North Charleston; five grandchildren: Cayla Fleming, Curtis Fitzgerald, II, Erica Fleming, Abby Fleming and Laura Fleming; seven great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.
