I worked with Sandy many years ago, at what was "Magnolia House" at the Department of Mental Health. She served as Director of the Day Treament program.Working with her was a joy.Laughter was our medicine. Over the years since leaving the Dept.of Mental Health, I would see Sandy working faithfully in the AME Church. I know that she will be missed by all who knew her. May God Bless and comfort you during this difficult time.

To the Family, Sandra will truly be missed. As I visited her in the hospital and I spoke to her, it was as though we never lost contact with one another. I remember when Nicholas was born, and oh Sandra was so proud. Nicholas, your mother and the Lord will continue to watch over you. Sandra fought a God fight, and now she has received her crown. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. Rest my friend. Servant of God well done!

Sandy was truly a great friend. She and I shared so much, and we were making plans to attend our annual alumni convention. I am still in shock about her passing. However, Sandy was a true child of God in every aspect of her life. She had strong spiritual wisdom, a love for God, her family-Son Nicholas, mother, Ernestine and sister Anita. She made a big difference in this world and the people that she served through her life's mission-counseling/therapy. I will miss her, but I know that she is resting in the arms of Jesus.

Sandy was a lighted candle that shined bright here at work.My last wonderful memory was the evening we were in the hall with our arms around eachothers shoulders kicking up our legs because I had asked her to join me at Jazzercise and we were making fun and laughing!I love you Sandy-say hello to my Mom...she's praising the Lord with you now! May Peace be with her family!

Shall we gather at the river, where bright angel feet have trod; with its crystal tide forever, flowing by the throne of God? Yes, we'll gather at the river, the beautiful, the beautiful river; gather with the saints at the river, that flows by the throne of God.

I am so deeply saddened by the loss of my most favorite cousin. It is so hard to believe that she has passed away because it seems like we just spoke. I know that we don’t get to decide who leaves this earth and who stays. I just never thought it would be her, far too soon. Oh, how I miss her and her sweet spirit! She was such a delight to speak to, and I looked forward to conversations with her. Sandy is a jewel that will forever shine in my heart and in all of the lives she has touched. I believe the following can be said about my cousin: 2 Timothy 4:7 ------ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.

On the margin of the river, washing up its silver spray, we will walk and worship ever, all the happy golden day. Yes, we'll gather at the river, the beautiful, the beautiful river; gather with the saints at the river that flows by the throne of God.

I will miss Sandy dearly. She was the best caseworker I ever had. Her smile calmed me in an instant. Even if I were having a panic attack. I knew Sandy for many years even before she became my caseworker She had that inner light,I guess you could say god's glow about her that seemed to bring peace to every situation she had her hand in. That light hasn't gone out. It's just past on to the home of heavenly light. Where it shall shine til all of us follow it home.

Please know that when I learned of Sandy's demise it brought tears to my eyes and sadness to my heart. Such an awesome woman of ("GONE TOO SOON")she will truly be missed. Today, I grieve with you as well as celebrate the life of "Sandy". Sandy was truly a friend indeed, we shared everything ups, downs, trials, succucesses, as well as the valley experiences of our children. We encouraged each other, we prayed together, we studied the Word of God together. I thank God for allowing us to be friends. I will miss her dearly, we understood that our time here on earth was and is full of swift transitions, we understood that and we made ourselves ready to meet him

I listened to the radio today, and a song played that truly reminded me of Sandy’s graceful, harmonious spirit. The lyrics are “God has smiled on me; he has set me free. God has smiled on me; he’s been good to me.” Sandy’s spirit was exemplified in her presence and smile. She always had a scripture to share, or a word of encouragement. She was a great mentor, co-worker, clinician, advocate, and friend. We will all truly miss Sandy, but realize that God has been sharing His Angel with us.

I was sorry to learn of Sandy's passing. She was always a bright light when we worked together taking care of folks at the mental health center. May the family be blessed with memories of her warm smile and humor.
