Sandra Hickman Irvine MT. PLEASANT - Sandra Hickman Irvine, 79, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away on Saturday February 24, 2024. She was born on October 1, 1944, in Mount Pleasant, SC. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and aunt. Known for her spunky personality and being a pillar of strength, she was like a mother to many and cherished by all who knew her. She had a deep love of the ocean, enjoyed reading a great book, doing crossword puzzles, cooking her unforgettable fried chicken, and was a lifelong Gamecock fan. Most importantly, she'll be remembered for her unwavering loyalty and profound love of family. She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert L Irvine, Jr (Larry); son, Robert L Irvine, III (Kelly); sister, Linda Murray (Carl); granddaughter, Hadley Irvine; grandson, Wren Irvine; two nieces, Christy Belcher (Shawn) and Kimmie Bradford; five nephews, Billy Stevens; Dustin Irvine; Matthew Sullivan (Tara); Jamie Bradford (Kari); and Justin Murray; great-nieces and nephews, Alyssa Belcher, Casey Belcher, Chase Belcher, Brittany Newman (Tommy), Sebastian Sullivan, Rylee Bradford, Hanna Bradford and Dusty Irvine. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Hickman Todd; father, Eugene Nicely; sister, Donna Hoxworth; brother, James "Jimmy" Bradford; and niece Tammie Cameron. Sandra graduated from Moultrie High School, went on to have a successful career in the financial industry and retired as the Vice President for the mortgage division of C&S Bank. Services for Sandra will be held in the Chapel at Seacoast Church, 750 Long Point Road, in Mount Pleasant, SC, on March 3, 2024. The family will receive guests at 2pm, followed by a service at 3pm.
