Sandra Hiott Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" Hiott lived her life with an open heart, a quick laugh, and a faith that never wavered. She preferred to be barefoot, but if she had to wear shoes, it was always flip-flops. Most at home in a simple frock with "a spot of coffee" on her porch, Sandy made that porch a place of comfort and laughter - a place where you didn't need any plans, you could just show up, sit a while, and be yourself.
Sandy loved the simple joys of life: crabbing at the beach, tending to her garden, and sharing her little pieces of wisdom - like reminding everyone it was bad luck to thank someone for a plant, and always saying, "Can't nobody steal my joy." Her kitchen was another place of love, always full of the smell of good southern cooking, and no one ever left her house hungry. She carried herself with grace and beauty - legs that turned heads, humor that kept people smiling, and a spirit that made everyone feel at home.
A devoted sister, a loving mother, and a grandmother whose heart knew no limits, Sandy's honesty, laughter, and unwavering faith lifted everyone around her. Her love for the Lord guided her through life and now gives her family peace, knowing she is reunited in heaven with her beloved grandson Daymein "DayDay" Hiott (12/10/01–3/8/25), her mother Jearldine Hiott, and her father Riddick Hiott.
Sandy is survived by her children, Crystal Marie Hiott, Chasity Hiott Hughes, Clinton Hiott, and Casey Hiott; her grandson, Trystan Baylee Hiott; her only great-grandbaby, Leilani NaKemma Renee Hiott; and countless family members and friends who will forever cherish their memories with Sandy - the laughter they shared on and off her porch, the yummy meals, and the small, ordinary moments that made all the difference.
In accordance with Sandy's wishes, there will be no traditional services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Friends and family will be welcomed to gather as we honor her life, share her stories, and carry her joy forward.

She was a great person and my double first cousin full of life. I wondered why I haven't seen her on Facebook lately. Didn't know anything was wrong except her heart broken for her grandson. You will be missed love you

I've known Sandy since she was 10 years old. She's been a dear friend for many years. I don't care where we were we always embraced & talked for awhile. She will be missed by me, my son, & my husband. We all loved Sandy!
