The world has lost a very good man. He was quick with a kind word and a friendly smile. He loved his family and raised some wonderful children. He will be missed. We are all blessed for having him with us in this life. May God watch over all of you and keep you close.

He was my friend though I never knew his name. I always addressed him by his military title, as he did me. I will miss him sharing his wisdom with me. The community will miss the goodness he so readily shared and his concern for those less fortunate. Above all, he will be missed by a world that can ill afford to lose another good person.

To: THe Marion Family (Gail and Carmen): Clinton and I had just spoken with your brother after church on Sunday. We talked and laughed and said goodbye. None of us knew that was going to be his last goodbye. We were so surprised to hear that Sam passed. Please know that we will keep you in our prayers and you have our deepest sympathy. He is with the one who loaned him to all of you and now he's gone on to be with the man in charge since his work here is done. May God bless you all. Clinton and Sherell Lucas
