Frances Currie

The family of Dewitt and Frances Currie send our deepest sympathy to your family. Sam was one of Dewitt's favorite people. We feel like Sam and Dewitt are in heaven setting up a gun show and enjoying a good laugh. We always looked back in church at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian to see if Sam was on the back row. He had become one of our favorite people to see on Sundays. He will be greatly missed by so many. Prayers going out to you.

I just found out today, Sam will be greatly missed. I always enjoyed stopping by and talking with Sam. When people asked me to recommend a gunstore, I always mentioned Sam first.

We will miss the Prince of Pineville. Sam Long always put others first. He made you feel like an old friend as soon as he met you. Until I started hearing from friends and family today, I was unaware of how often I spoke of Sam with admiration. His work ethic and genuine concern for others reminded me of my grandfather, another man everyone loved. Farewell, Sam, your gentle kindness will stay with us always.
