Samantha Reid Obituary

REID, Samantha COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Samantha David Reid, 33, of Columbia will be held 1 o'clock Monday, June 19, 2006 at Denny Terrace Baptist Church with The Rev. Brett DeYoung officiating. Interment will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Wally Lee, Dale Jolly, Mark Blackwood, Randy Beasley, Tony Reid, Gary Mooneyham, Dennis Black and Bryan Watts. Mrs. Reid will be placed in the church at 12 o'clock Monday. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 Sunday at Shives Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Denny Terrace Baptist Church, 6324 Dorchester Dr., Columbia, SC 29203. Mrs. Reid died Friday, June 16, 2006. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of Billy W. David and the late Mary Frances Blackwood David. She was employed as a CAN at Still Hope Episcopal Home. Mrs. Reid was well loved by many people. She was a very caring and loving wife and mother who gave unselfishly to so many. Survivors include her husband, Paul Sam Reid; son, Dakota Sumter Reid; brothers, Anthony David, Keith David; sister, Michelle Meetze; several nieces and nephews. www.shivesfuneralhome.com. 803-754-6290.
