PORTER, Sam The relatives of Sam Porter, those of his wife, Mrs. Ruth Nesbitt Porter; children, Barbara Nesbitt, Arnold Porter (Patricia), Sherrie R. Wright (Clyde); grandchildren, Narada Nesbitt, Clyde Wright, Zackery C. Brown, Taylor Wright, and Onja Porter; great-grandchild, T'kai Madison; sisters, Mable Porter, Vernell Brown, Virginia Brown (Nathaniel), and Alma Dunmyer (Leon); brother, Charlie Porter (Mary); sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, January 20, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke AME Church, Hwy. 162, Hollywood, SC. Friends may call FIELDING YONGES ISLAND CHAPEL, 889-9181 or 1-800-290-5954. Remains to St. Paul Presbyterian Church, Hollywood, SC on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Remains to St. Luke AME Church on Thursday at 12 noon. I pray that my family will find peace in this time of sorrow. My Father said "When I call, you will answer" and that is exactly what Doug did. He answered his Father’s call. I know it is hard to let go, but he is only a prayer away. Keep smiling because he is smiling down at us.
