I was the Secretary to the most wonderful chief of cardiology at Our Lady of Mercy in 1996 until he left. He was so compassionate and good at what he did. He will be greatly missed.

Sal was a college classmate of mine at Fordham University. He was a great guy with a warm heart and a razor sharp mind. Because we were all competing to gain admission into professional school the atmosphere could become quite cut throat. Sal never was. He was always there to share and help. I owe a part of my success in college and thus a portion of my subsequent professional success to Sal. Rest in Peace my friend

Dr. Chiaramida was my Cardiologist. He was a caring and compassionate man of like faith, which meant the world to me as one of his many patients. The medical profession has lost one of its finest doctors. What a wonderful legacy he has left. My thoughts and prayers go to his wife and sons, and his extended family, friends, and colleagues.
