Sallie Alderman Moncks Corner - Sallie Felkel Alderman, 98, of Moncks Corner, SC, died Sunday morning in a local nursing home.Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Wednesday morning, June 9, 2021, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. Mrs. Alderman was born September 15, 1923, in Eutawville, SC, a daughter of Arthur Felkel and Ernestine Sweat Felkel. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Moncks Corner, and she was a former employee of Charleston Manufacturing. Mrs. Alderman enjoyed baking and cooking, flower gardening, and listening to Gospel and Country music, but she especially loved shopping. She and her husband enjoyed traveling both in the United States and abroad, and she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Alderman was preceded in death by two sons, Donnie Alderman and Terry Alderman.Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Herbert T. Alderman; two sons, Tim Alderman and his spouse, Tammy, of Atlanta, and Gary Alderman and his spouse, Bruce, of Charlotte; six grandchildren, Don Alderman, John Alderman, Laura Clark, Blake Alderman, Luke Alderman, and Ethan Moyer-Alderman; and seven great-grandchildren, Dylan Alderman, Jack Alderman, Colt Clark, Case Clark, Hudson Alderman, Jake Alderman, and Cairo Alderman. Miss Sallie was our neighbor for over 27 years. She was the most dedicated Mother, wife, Grandmother, and had the best outlook on life. She was such a joy to be around. Funny and so full of life, at all times. We loved her so much. She will forever be in our hearts.
