I just learned of Dr. Reddy's passing, and just want Sashank to know how great his father was. Dr. Reddy was one of the greatest mentors to me of my life. I was placed in his lab in 2012 when I was in high school, and he taught me so well that I won first place on my poster in the undergrad devision. He encouraged me to pursue medicine. But he was also a teacher of life. I came back to MUSC for several years and it would make my day to run into him in front of the library or in the cafeteria, always stopping to chat. He cared deeply about everyone. Sashank, the last time I bumped into him, he was asking for advice on your next career steps, as they were shaping to be similar to mine. We've never met, but if I can ever help in any way, or you'd just like to hear a story, please don't hesitate to reach out.

I just learned of Dr. Reddy´s passing and I´m so sorry that he is gone. I met Dr. Reddy in 2007 when I first started at MUSC and he was always so kind and helpful to me and everyone around him. He contributed so much to our scientific knowledge and it´s great loss to the scientific community. I will really miss running into him in the halls at MUSC, and having a nice chat. Sending my sincerest sympathies to his family and friends.

I truly miss him. He was a great mentor and a scientific collaborator for me. A gentle soft-spoken person, a great scientist, and always willing to help others. I miss him a lot and my sincere condolences to his son and family.

I am associated very closely with Dr. Reddy when we both were PhD students in same lab. He is very friendly, simple and intelligent hard worker. I express my heartfelt condolences to his family.

Dr. Reddy was a tremendously kind individual who was among the first to welcome me when I joined MUSC over two years ago. He was someone I was advised to seek out before I came. I appreciated the help, advice and friendship that he provided me until his passing. He was also a great mentor not only to his own students and trainees but to my students and post-docs. He will be missed by myself and many others. His kindness and desire to help was central to his character. He was a well respected researcher with a strong national and International reputation. I want to make sure his family knows how much he contributed to science and medicine on both the technical research and human sides.
Sincerely
Dave Hill
