I was fortunate enough to be around Ryan's kind heart and positive energy throughout my time at law school. He had a positive and uplifting influence on all of those he touched. My thoughts are with him and his family.

I am so very sorry about this tremendous loss, but I feel so blessed that I was able to meet you, Shannon, and Mr.Tennant. My prayers have been with you. Please know that you both have touched so many lives with your positive energy and humor regardless of the circumstances on any given day.

I am so sorry to hear of Ryan's passing. He was an amazing man with an amazing heart. He has left me with some of the greatest memories that I hold dear to my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you in so many ways. Wishing you all peace and serenity.

I can imagine no greater loss than losing a child. I can see Ryan, in my minds eye, running around the end zone at Harmon field ... Joyful & cute! God will comfort you when no one is there & it is quiet & dark. He will lift you up when you miss your baby boy! I will be praying for you all in the days & weeks to come!

I was beyond stunned to hear about Ryan's passing a few days ago. Although we'd lost touch over the last decade, in my mind he unequivocally remained one of the best friends I've ever had, and as perspicacious a conversationalist as I've ever encountered. We challenged each other intellectually and that played a more prominent role in my career evolution than he may have been aware of, although I'm confident he knew.

Mr. and Mrs. Tennant, Kyle, extended family... I can't tell you how sorry I am for your loss. I can tell you that having the opportunity to develop relationships with individuals like your son is one of the things I've found that makes life so precious.

Seeing and hearing Ryan's name always makes me smile. His confidence, his mad dance skills, his ability to make people feel special. I don't know that I saw him again after high school but I sure didn't forget him. What a special person!

When I first heard last week I felt like a part of our childhood had died.
We were Tryonites forever. He truly was a friend. He did indeed have a precious wife.
We were blessed to have known him... His kindness was immeasurable, love boundless, and smiles contagious.

Ryan was a fantastic man. He was one of the first people I met at a law firm in Mt. Pleasant, SC. I was a recent college graduate eager to gain some experience before my own leap to law school; Ryan was my cubicle neighbor. Over the 8 months I spent around him I learned an incredible amount of what it takes to be an attorney, to be a student, to be a family man, to be an adventurer, and to live every moment with importance and purpose. When Ryan left this company he told me to reach out if I ever needed advice or to chat. One year later I was accepted to law school. Ryan was one of the first people I contacted out of the blue because I knew a congratulations would be followed by honest words of advice. He, as always, did not disappoint.

I hope that this message serves as a testament of Ryan's impact on everyone around him. I looked up to Ryan as if he was a big brother. I admire his attitude. I respect him as a selfless individual with a vision. Most importantly, however, throughout his stories and experiences he helped me realize how important the people in our lives are by demonstration.

My prayers and thoughts are with his family. Although I may not have met many of you, know that Ryan helped me mature and become a better man. I am grateful for what this man did for me. My prespective on life is forever positive.

I am shocked and saddened to hear of Rayn's passing. Ryan was one of my best childhood friends, and although we lost touch after high school, I still value his friendship. He was one of the smartest and funniest people I know. He will be greatly missed.
