Leland, Mary, Sharon: My heart goes out to each of you. Your Mother meant so much to me. I will never forget our annual trips to Folly and bridge lessons. I am unable to be with you today because I have just gotten home from the hospital, but my throughts and prayers are with each of you. Your mother was a inspiration to many children and I am honored to have been one.

RUTH WAS A COWORKER AT BRISTOL VIRGINIA SCHOOLS, AND I HAVE MANY FOND MEMORIES OF HER. HER TEACHING SKILLS WERE UNMATCHED, AND HER LOVE FOR ALL OF GOD'S CHILDREN WAS HER FIRST PRIORITY.

I HAD NEVER FORGOTTEN HER. DID NOT REALIZE SHE WAS IN SOUTH CAROLINA..... MY HOME STATE.

MAY GOD'S GRACE SHINE UPON YOU.

I THANK GOD THAT SHE PASSED MY WAY.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Mrs. Thrash was my 6th grade reading teacher and she has always been one of my favorite teachers. Her style of teaching was unusual but very entertaining. She would never allow us to say that we couldn't do something. I am thirty four yrs. old and I can remember her like yesterday. This family has really lost a gem, but please take comfort in knowing that she has blessed so many lives.

Ms. Ruth is a legend in the Moncks Corner community. The children and the community learned so much more than math or spelling. They learned how to behave themselves like children should. She gave so much to so many. My family was truly blessed by our association with her.
