I remember you all well living next door to you all on the Island and our fathers sharing office space at 109 Pitt St. Your father walked on water and your mother was always there to guide him across. Bless you all. Elizabeth Ward Paddock

Dear Cousins,
Sorry I am not in the Charleston area to extend my sympathy. Wish I could be there but please know that you are in my thoughts.
Otis, please give me a call- 843-819-3046. Tell Lark that I have been doing the fmily tree and have a lot of info on "ancestry.com". Would like to talk at some point.
Please know that I will be thinking about you all.

Miss Ruth was, indeed, the matriarch of the Pickett family. It was obvious from when we first met that she had earned deep respect from everyone who knew her. It was her boundless free spirit that made her thrive for so many years - a spirit that was matched only by her great care for others. Her caring nature was so much a part of her that you could read it in her eyes and all over her face without ever hearing her utter a sound or make a move. We consider ourselves blessed to have met Miss Ruth and to have a son-in-law who was raised within the realm of the wonderful matriarch - Ruth Pickett. May you find peace in knowing that the spirit of Miss Ruth lives on in all of you. Every Pickett family member we have met exudes her values and, in so doing, ensures that her legacy lives on - that her spirit remains with all of us who have the pleasure of living, laughing and loving a Pickett family member. May God bless you now, as He blessed us all, with the life of Miss Ruth.
