Ruth was the most amazing, well put together lady I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was beautiful, extremely smart, and super witty. I met her at age 94 I am 45 years younger than Ruth and she blew me away. I will forever miss her. She was for sure unforgettable! RIH sweet lady.

Didn't know her, but her dad Presley was my grandfather Riley's brother. This makes her dad my great uncle and her my cousin. She and her dad lived a very long life. Wish I had known her!

Greetings and condolences to the family of Ruth. You don't know me & I did not know Ruth but she was a Navy Nurse and so was I. I am a member of the local Chapter of the Navy Nurse Corps Association and many of us saw the obit in the paper and remember well that uniform which was worn by 2 of our other 100 yr+ members. I think I can say for all of us a belated Thank you for her service. I am sorry we never got to know her in person. We would love to connect with you Jane. I will leave me contact info if you choose to contact us. We really love hearing the stories of Ruth's generation of Navy Nurses.

Ms Ruth was a special lady and I was so grateful to have known her. Even though our friendship was short she and Fredo made lasting memories for me. She contacted me to walk her dog last year when her knee was bothering her. She said it would be temporary as she was going to the orthopedic doctor and it would get better. I had my doubts... but oh did she prove me wrong! In about 9 days ... she said she was ready to walk him again. I was actually almost in tears ... so I asked if I could come visit with her and Fredo. Of course she said yes and we had many delightful visits.
I can not express how grateful I am to have known her and have the memories we made.
Prayers for the family at this time as you navigate the loss.
May your memories bring you comfort and smiles.
