Russ was my dad's (Dana Wallace Sweet) best friend growing up together in Rochester NH. Their adventures were epic as they romped and stomped their way through their youth and attending UNH. They were everlasting friends and my dad and mother admired the heck out of him. Russ was always a legend in our home and a true friend of my parents. I salute you Russ

What a kind and gentle person Russell was. For years, he and Rosemary Hutton sat after church together on the bench in Gage Hall where they 'received' those of us who were more mobile. That is my special momory of them. I miss them both.

Condolences to Russ's family. Not only was he a wonderful colleague, but also an everlasting friend. He helped me and my family on numerous occasions. I valued our many conversations even after his retirement. I also appreciated having him to talk politics and actions at The Citadel. Even though I haven't had the opportunity to see him in recent years, I miss him. There is no doubt helped make the world a better place.

Nancy and Don,
Both of your parents hold special places in my heart. Your dad's Christmas cards to us, Meg and Ben were treasured each year. I am so glad we were able to have dinner with him during his latter years. He will be missed!
Love to you both,
Barbara Graves
