To the family of one of my life's best friends, please accept my condolences and sympathy. I am deeply saddened by my friend's passing. For a time in our lives, we were just like brothers. In the 80's, we performed in a Charleston-based musical group, Blazon (Jenny, James, Staggers, Leroy, I.L., Myron, Skip and Tony). Tony was the male lead singer. He loved singing and performing. We spent a lot of time practicing and playing in Charleston and all over South Carolina. He was the "new kid on the block" musically and I was his mentor but more than that he was my little "BIG" brother. Tony was just a very good person. He would always be willing to help or assist if he could. We spend a lot of time discussing music, life, family, cars and the future. As life would have, the group broke up and we all went our separate ways but I don't think we ever lost our brotherhood. I am hopeful that his family and friends will remember his sincerity, laughter and thoughtfulness in this time of sorrow and know that the world was ultimately made a better place because Tony spent and shared his time on Earth with us.
