Ruby Nettles Obituary

NETTLES, Ruby Ruby Sauls Nettles, 83, of Santee Circle, SC, died Tuesday afternoon in a Moncks Corner hospital. The funeral will be 11:30 AM Friday morning, March 10, 2006, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Thursday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Odyssey Health Care, 3870 Leeds Ave., Ste. 109, N. Charleston, SC 29405. Mrs. Nettles was born July 18, 1922, in Lake City, SC, a daughter of Elijah Wesley Sauls and Jewel Graham Sauls. She is the widow of C.D. Dud Nettles and was a member of the Cordesville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Nettles was a former rural route mail carrier and an assembly line worker at the Moncks Corner Pepsi Cola Plant. Surviving are, two daughters, Barbara N. Mitchum and her husband, Howard, of Moncks Corner and Rachel N. Tanner and her husband, Victor, of Santee Circle; a son, Jerry Nettles and his wife, Pat, of Santee Circle; two sisters, Wilma Lamb of Lake City and Rosa Nell Weaver of Lancaster; two brothers, W.C. Sauls and Cody Bert Sauls both of Scranton; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visit our guestbook at www.charleston.net/deaths.

I will miss Ms. Ruby, she was a wonderful lady to sit and talk with; she never met a stranger. I will keep Sonia and the family in my prayers.

Ruby will be missed terribly. She's been a good neighbor all my life and I remember her fondly. She made the best bisquits I've ever had my whole life. Goodbye Ruby, we love you. Cathy & Family.
