Ruby Hanna Obituary

HANNA, Ruby KINGSTREE - Ruby Stone Hanna, 93, widow of William James Hanna, died Friday, April 1, 2005, in a Kingstree nursing home. Mrs. Hanna was born November 24, 1912, in Williamsburg County, a daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Jane Haselden Stone. She was educated in Kingstree schools and was one of the first employees and on the original staff of Farmers Telephone Co-op. She retired from Santee Electric Co-op and was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by a son: Billy Hanna of Lugoff, SC. Surviving: three daughters, Ikey Brown and Marilea Dooley, both of Kingstree and Jimmie Grace Hanna of St. Simons Island, Ga., one son, Buddy Hanna of Columbia, 16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, in the Williamsburg Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Dr. Dick Andrews. Burial will be in McClary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to McClary Cemetery Fund, c/o the Exchange Bank of S.C., Kingstree, S.C. The family of Mrs. Hanna will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Funeral Home.
