Ruby Freeman Obituary

Ruby Crews Freeman HAMPTON, SC - Mrs. Ruby Crews Freeman of Charleston Highway near Hampton, died Sunday afternoon at her residence. Mrs. Freeman was born in Hampton, November 18, 1921, a daughter of the late George Tillman Crews and Ollie Nix Crews. She was a Homemaker and had been a member of the Order of The Eastern Star. She was a member of the St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church in Hampton. Surviving are: Son: Earl Freeman and wife Linda of Hampton; Sister: Louise "Coot" Griffin of Pollard, Arkansas; Brother: Dick Polk and wife Betty of Hampton; Grandchildren: Shari Manders and husband David of Beech Island, Lloyd Freeman Jr. and wife Sabrina of Graniteville, and Jamie Freeman of Baltimore, Maryland; Six Great-Grandchildren and Three Great-Great-Grandchildren, and daughter-in-law Doris Freeman of Hampton. Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by her husband, James Earl Freeman Sr. and her son, Lloyd Freeman. Funeral services will be 3 P.M. Thursday in the Chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home conducted by Elder Robert Dobson, with burial in the Rivers Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday beginning at 1 P.M. prior to services at the Funeral Home located at 300 Mulberry Street West in Hampton. Visit our guestbook at www.legacy.com/obituaries/ charleston
