Ruby Barnhill Cox SUMMERVILLE - Ruby Barnhill Cox, 90, of Summerville, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, to be reunited with her husband, Daniel Junior Cox. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 11:00am in the chapel of Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. Ruby was born on June 14, 1927, to Frances Grainger and Robert Franklin Barnhill in Jesup, Ga. She is survived by her three daughters, Marilyn Player (Bill), Janice Singletary and Lori Singletary (Pete); her sons, Dale Cox (Elaine) and Terry Cox; her fourteen grandchildren, Kevin Cox, Scottie Cox, David Player, Daniel Player, Katie Campbell, Angel Tuttle, Brandon Judy, Cody Singletary, Hayley Singletary, Hunter Singletary, Larry Ellisor, Terron Miller, Cara Grooms, and Shane Cox; thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; her sister, Grace Martin of Mullins. She was predeceased by her grandson, John Tuttle Jr.; brothers, Bob, RJ, Coleman, Woodrow, and Woodruff Barnhill; and sisters, Maggie Herring, Dula Strickland and Hattie Martin; and her son-in-law, Roddie Singletary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association of Charleston Lowcountry Area Office 2090, Executive Hall Rd. Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29407.
