Roy Yonce Obituary

Roy Lewis Yonce, Jr. Cottageville, SC - Roy Lewis Yonce Jr., 76, of Cottageville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest at his home on Saturday, July 9, 2022. His Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, at 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel. Roy was born March 1, 1946, in Aiken, South Carolina, a son of the late Roy Lewis Yonce, Sr. and the late Edith Cliatt Yonce. He retired from Exxon Mobil after 38 years. Roy loved all forms of racing having raced for more than twenty years himself. Roy and his son, Trey, enjoyed racing motorcycles together for more than twelve years as Yonce Racing. He loved Corvettes and has driven one since 1969 when he bought his first one, still owning one today. Roy enjoyed working in the yard and was a very proud PawPaw to his grandsons, Johnny Ray and Walker. He is survived by his son, Trey Yonce (Chrissy), of Cottageville, SC; grandsons: Johnny Ray Yonce and Walker Yonce; his sisters: Claudette Shiels, Betty Fraser and Cathy Yonce Mccreary; and many nieces and nephews.
