To the family of the late Dr. R.A. Howell------- what a wonderful, wonderful man, as well as doctor he was!!!!! He was my mother's physician for years, and for some strange reason, I just looked at his home number within my cell phone, but I did not call to inquire about him. He would tell me when I took my momma to an appointment, that if there were any questions that I have to contact him, even after his retirement. I was at conference in Columbia, S.C. so, I am just now reading this. To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord! Dr. Howell, as I would tell you "Thank You!" for assiting and caring for my momma's health! Now it"s time for you to get your rest with the Heavenly Master. THANK YOU!!!

My sincere sympathies go out to you and John, Charles, Jamie, and Jeffrey. Words cannot always express the emotions, but I know he played a major part in the boys and your family's lives. It is one of the hardest things in this world to lose your Daddy. I pray God holds your memories around you to comfort you and your loved ones through this grief.

I really missed Dr. Howell from the Carolina Family Care Suite. He was most caring and gave a warm feeling that he was truly sincere and cared about his patients. I remember when he talked about his transportation, we often laughed about his wife wanting him to stop riding his bicycle. He was so personable. He took care of my entire family(4). I wanted them to experience this genuine, compassionate physician. Always with a smile that will always be remembered. You were so blessed and still is to have someone like Dr. Howell in your life, with so many memories I'm sure, will long be remembered.

Claude and I are thinking and praying for your family at this time. We remember playing golf with Roy at Snee Farm many years ago. He was a gentile person and made us feel special during those eighteen holes. It was a short time we were person to person, but it made an impact on our lives. Much love, Cathy and Claude
