Roy Green's laughter, smile, kindness, appreciation for the arts, and keen intellect will be profoundly missed by those of us who had the privilege of knowing him since his retirement to Mt. Pleasant over two decades ago. He was a cherished friend and neighbor, and I am confident that many others share my feeling that he and his beloved Theresa enriched our lives. Heaven has undoubtedly welcomed a remarkable curator of jazz. Rest in peace, dear friend.

All of us at the Gibbes are deeply saddened by the news of Roy's passing. As a volunteer and Board member, he was an integral part of launching so many wonderful programs and events at the Gibbes Museum of Art, especially the Gibbes on the Street event for which he was honored last year. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loving wife Theresa and their extended family and many friends. Roy will be greatly missed by his Gibbes Museum family. With deepest sympathy, Angela Mack
