Rose Bugay Obituary
Rose M. (Screpesi) Bugay, 92, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Mifflin Center in Shillington.
She was the widow of Joseph A. Bugay who died on March 23, 1995. Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of the late Mario and Anna (Nastio) Screpesi.
She was a member of Saint John de la Salle Church in Shillington.
Rose enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dining out, shopping at the mall with her sisters, and dancing the jitterbug.
Surviving are two sons, Michael B., husband of Roxanne Bugay; and Joseph G., husband of Denise Bugay; nine grandchildren: Michael Bugay; Matthew, husband of Rachel Bugay; Jessica, wife of Jonathan Clipp; Angela, wife of Johan Cruz; Jonathan Bugay; Joshua, husband of Rachel Bugay; Christopher Bugay; Laura, wife of Colin Waszkiewicz; and Ashley Bugay; eight great-grandchildren; siblings, Josephine Farrell and Jackie Fedorik; sister-in-law, Josephine Screpesi, Mary Secoura, Stephanie Bugay, Rose Harter, and Ruth Bugay. She was predeceased by siblings: Pauline Borelli, Margaret Perotto, Joseph Screpesi, Anthony Screpesi, Mary Jarosinski, Frank Screpesi, and Teresa Bennethum.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John Baptist de la Salle Church, 420 Holland Street, Shillington, PA, with Father Richard Clement, celebrant. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 237 Court Street, Reading, PA 19601; or to LaSalle Academy, 440 Holland Street, Shillington, PA 19607.
Rose's family would like to express heartfelt thanks to Dr. Leif E. Christiansen, Phoebe Transquility Place, BARTA, and Easton Coach for their support during the past few years.

Dear Bugay Family,
Rose was a very special and unique woman. I really enjoyed the interesting and humorous stories about her life. What amazed me was the genuine love she displayed to her grandchildren. She was always affectionate with them and truly cared about the happenings in their lives. She knew what life was all about from her own experiences.
Denise and Joe know that you did a wonderful job in caring for Rose during the past few years. You truly were devoted to all her needs.
