I loved her history class. She was tough but fair. She expected more of me than I did of myself. RIP Ms. Speed, you've earned your rest.

To A Great Legend that taught us at The Bobcats: Baptist Hill High School, Hollywood, South Carolina
To the Children, Grandchildren, and Significant Family Members; Our Prayers and Condolences are with You. Thank You in allowing Mrs. Speed to educate, mentor and inspire us, toward Excellence. Today, I am a proud Graduate, whom graduated with Honors, with a Degree, in History.
Mrs Speed's explanation of US History (time, dates, and events, as they unfolded), she always drew a line, using her chalk rattling swiftly, of events back and forth, and so on....
This kept all of us take notes, for the upcoming tests.
May you find peace, and warm good times, as We too celebrate her gift to us -The Decedants of the belated; Evelina Deas Washington (BHHS Classes 1968, 1969, 1972, 1978, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1989.

I knew Mrs. Speed when we worked together on the Island. She was a very good teacher who was stern. Take your rest Mrs. Speed. We love you, but God loves you best.
