To Arlyne & Family: You have my deepest sympathy. Your mom (who was my cousin) has been an inspiration to me throughout high school along with Ms. Gaillard. After finding out we were related, she really kept me in "CHECK". All she had to do was remind me that she will make a phone call or take me out into the hallway. Your mom was an inspiration to all who had any encounter with her. My prayers are with you, your family, and mine through this time of sorrow. Take care and keep your hands in "GOD'S" hand.

Dear Arlyene:

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your mother. I know at this time there are no words adequate to heal the pain that you feel right now, but take solace in knowing that the Lord knows and feels our pain and He will give you comfort and strength to face the days ahead; for truly "earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal."

Your friend and classmate,

Robert C. Felder

I have been truly blessed to have known Rosalie Harrison since 1964. Rosalie and Arlyne was my second family. In 40 years, she remained the same and accepted life with a smile, self sufficient, a direct approach to everything and completely honest with everyone she met. People always thought Arlyne and I were twins, since we dressed alike at times and played together every weekend and took trips together. Arlyne was not only my best friend, but the sister I always wanted as a child. When we got in trouble for leaving our Barbie dolls all over the place, not going to bed when she told us, but played in the closet instead, both of us got in trouble. I can still hear her voice at 43 Alberta Avenue threatening to spank (she never did) us. Rosalie Harrison was like a second Mom to me and the only person my Mother trusted with her only child growing up. If any memories or words can be used to describe such a wonderful woman and outstanding mother it would be her directness, complete honesty about any situation we were facing, hearing her laughter, seeing her dance and enjoying life with her family. She taught us to be strong women, face life head on, respect others and most of all family is important.

She will be truly missed, but never forgotten. Loved by everyone she touched.
