Rosabell Turner JAMES ISLAND - Ms. Rosabell "Bell" Turner entered into eternal rest, peacefully on Sunday, May 28, 2023, at her home, peacefully. Ms. Turner, 100 years old and the eldest child born to Josiah and Rosalee Washington-White, was born on January 24, 1923 on James Island, South Carolina. Ms. Turner was preceded in death by her son: Robert White; siblings: Josiah White, Pearl Ladson, Helen Brownand and Louise Nelson; great-grandchild: Avery Hampton and nephew, Eugene White, Sr. Graveside services celebrating the life of Ms. Bell will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Stem Point Memorial Cemetery, 1633 Terns Nest Rd., Charleston, SC 29412. Viewing for Ms. Turner will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 5:00 -7:00 PM at The Palmetto Mortuary, 1122 Morrison Dr, Charleston, SC 29403. Ms. Turner leaves to cherish her legacy her loving daughters, Ida Hampton (Alonzo), Jacquetta " Sylvine" White (Eugene); grandchildren: Veronica Baughman (Kieth), Alonzo Hampton (Marnie), Charles White, Eugene White, Jr., Keith White and April White; great-grandchildren: Antanique Tyler, Alaijah Hampton, Aidan Hampton, Tarrelll Powell and a host of devoted great-great-grandchildren. One sister, Mildred Champaign, one sister-in-law, Carolyn "Jabulile" White a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
