Gidget and family,

May the Lord be near at this sorrowful time--May His love, His word and His presence bring you comfort and peace of mind. I pray that you are comforted to know that when you lose a loved one who has meant so much and touched many people’s lives, the grief that you are feeling cannot take away the happiness you all shared, and that sorrow will fade in time but the love will remain forever. I know that words are often conveyed to try and comfort those who are in pain. Lean on God and allow HIM to show you the way. I pray that He gives you courage, strength, and peace. You and your family are in my prayers and if I can do anything for you, please do not hesitate to call upon me.

To ALL who loved Ms. Mae:
My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to all of Mae’s loving family.
Mae will be truly missed by her many friends. Not knowing one stranger, Mae’s warmth and giving nature made her loved by many. Mae was an honorable woman, she spoke without guile and her feisty attitude made her ever more adorable. She was a fighter to the end, an inspiration for many to do the same.

Katie,
Words cannot express my deepest sympathy to you, Patty, Gidget, Keith, Kelly and the grandkids. I do know that each of you were the apple of your mom's eye or as you said her eyeballs. We will continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as you journey these next few days. "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty"

Gidget,

I am so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. There are no amount of words that can possibly ease the pain and grief you are experiencing now. Just rely on God for strength to get through this most difficult time. Heaven has gained a new angel in Ms. Mae. I have fond memories of her when you and I were little. May the sweet memories of your mom and the Grace of God give you comfort. I will keep your family in my prayers.

James, Gidget, Jordan "Baby Girl" and Caleb I am sorry about the heartache that you all are feeling at this time. I have walked where you are at now and know that it is very difficult, but please take comfort in knowing that God will be with you now and in the future. He will help each of you get through this rough time. We love you all! You are in our prayers and hearts always.

"God saw you getting tired,
and a cure was not to be,
so he put his arms around you
and whispered, "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away,
and although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
he only takes the best. "
