Sgt. Ronnie Bernard Williams, US Army (Ret.) COLUMBUS, GA - Retired Army Sergeant Ronnie Bernard Williams passed away January 16, 2016 in Columbus, GA. Ronnie was born May 1, 1950 in Charleston, S.C. He was the husband of Vivian, father to Cheryl, Kelly and Brenda and, grandfather to Carrie, Haby and Haeli. He was the son of the late Isaac and Ruth Williams and his death was preceded by his siblings, Mary, Vernell, Standford and Randy. He leaves behind surviving siblings Harold, Fredrick, Franklin and Kevent, and sister-in-laws Pernell Nesbitt, Gladys Watson and Lillian Reid, and other relatives. Ronnie was a 20 Year Army Veteran and former Columbus Medical Center employee. Ronnie was a long term resident of Columbus, where he enjoyed his time with his friends, especially the army friends over the years. Ronnie was also grateful for the staff at Boxwood Dialysis in Columbus, who he viewed as family. At this time there will be no funeral arrangement but a celebration of his life will be honored in SC at a later date.
