Ronnie Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS, Ronnie Ronnie O'Neal Williams, 61, of Macedonia, SC, an insurance agent for Columbian Life Insurance Company, died Monday morning in a Moncks Corner hospital. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 14, 2009, in the Providence Baptist Church, Macedonia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Tuesday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Providence Baptist Church, 2069 N. Hwy 17-A, Moncks Corner, SC 29461. Mr. Williams was born Jan. 21, 1947, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Charles Oliver Williams and Myrtie Thornley Williams. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam and a graduate of Macedonia High School. Mr. Williams was a member of Providence Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He enjoyed golfing, loved his family, and was a wonderful grandfather. Surviving are his wife, Janice Guerry Williams; a daughter Jennifer W. Kessler and her husband, Lonnie, of Macedonia; a son, Merlin O'Neal Williams and his wife, Tracy, of Jamestown; his mother of Macedonia; two brothers, Ricky Williams and Andrew Williams both of Macedonia; three grandchildren, Taylor Kessler, Andy Kessler, and Coleman Williams. Jan, I was so sorry to read this in the paper today(1/14/09). Ronnie and I had some good times together. I enjoyed being with you and him on the Life of Georgia Conventions. I surely have missed seeing and talking with him. I am praying for you and the family.
