Ronald Rossi Obituary

Ronald Michael Rossi SUMMERVILLE - Ronald Michael Rossi, 76, of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 2, 2016 peacefully at home with his family. Born April 15, 1940 in Queens, New York. He was a veteran of the US Coast Guard. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Rossi, son, Michael Rossi, granddaughter, Courtney Wiggins and son-in-law Gregory Jones. He and the children's mother, Ilene Hatch, remained the best of friends. Together they set the bar for an amazing and loving family dynamic. He is also survived by his brother Lawrence Rossi of Centereach, NY and his sister Dolores Nisito of Massapequa, NY. Uncle Ronnie was the Godfather to Peter Rossi and Thomas Whiteley, Jr. A loving Italian family man with many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles whom he loved deeply. He was the son of the late Americo Rossi and Jean Rossi and was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Ricky. He enjoyed laughter, dancing, singing, and spending time with family. He learned to cook late in life and we consider him our master chef. He figured out the secret to a happy life and enjoyed every moment. Mr. Ron was a humble yet proud man who won the heart of everyone he met. We hope you had the opportunity to get to know our dad. Xoxo Poppa "May we all meet in heaven". A memorial service will be held on October 22, 2016 at Beautiful Savior Church of Summerville at 720 Old Trolley Road, Summerville, SC 29485. Service will begin at 2:00 and followed by a light luncheon to celebrate the love and life of our wonderful Poppa. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations to assist with expenses. Ronnie, You have been more of a brother than a cousin to me all my life. We both moved away from our families, and still we tried to keep in touch with each other. I will always remember our childhood and short adult years and even our last phone visits. Your laughter and always happy, as usual. I always spoke of our conversations to Gino and he always said, "Well, that sounds like Ronnie." We loved you, along with the family and so many other people. YOU WERE AND STILL ARE BLESSED. You will never be forgotten, especially our times together. Thank you for your kindness and caring throughout the years. Amore', Pat....and Gino, too

Love and sympathies to the Rossi family. May your wonderful memories and the love you shared ease your grief in time. I shall always remember my older cousin Ronnie as the handsome man with the brilliant smile, who was kind and made life a little brighter for everyone around him.
