Ronald Lashbrook Obituary

LASHBROOK, Ronald Ronald William Lashbrook, age 70, died Tuesday afternoon June 3, 2008 at his home in Columbus. Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted to carry out his wishes. His body has been cremated, and there will not be any services. Mr. Lashbrook was born September 10, 1937 in Detroit, MI to the late Herschel Stanley and Nora E. Sinnith Lashbrook. He retired from the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Master Gunnery Sgt. (MGySgt) in1980, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Lashbrook began working for Lowe's in Charleston, SC in 1984 and was transferred to Columbus with Lowe's in 1995. After retiring from Lowe's, Mr. Lashbrook worked part-time at the CAFB BX until December, 2004. He was a member of VFW Post 10624 in MT. Pleasant, SC and attended Broadacres United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Edwina J. Lashbrook, Columbus, MS; two sons, R. Shawn Lashbrook and R. Ray Lashbrook, both of Charleston ,SC ; two daughters, Dawn E. Kramer, Portland, OR and Ronda E. McClure, Farmersville, Tx; brother Danne Lashbrook, Covington, LA; two sisters Robin Wilson, Lebanon, TN, and Gayle Greybill, Covington, LA; and his step-mother Gloria Kunow, Covington, LA. Memorials may be made to Broadacres United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 9552, Columbus, MS 39705 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
