I hasten to sign my friend's book, knowing that he is at last in a better place. He set an example for us all and will be remembered for his patience and uplifting spirit for those suffering and trying to cope with chronic illness while bearing his own. Our friendship dates back to our days in Woodruff. I will miss our frequent communications, especially in recent months.
