Ronald Hull Obituary

Ronald Hull GREEN VALLEY, AZ - Ronald William Hull, 89, died peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2023, in Green Valley, Arizona. Born in Elyria, Ohio, he left to join the Air Force shortly after graduation. He earned his commission as a 2LT and his pilots wings through the Air Force Aviation Cadet Program, graduating in 1956. Ron had a long and distinguished career in the Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran who served as a Command Pilot and in command at various levels. While assigned to Charleston, South Carolina, he served as the Squadron Commander for the 300th Airlift Squadron. Ron and his wife, Kathy, traveled extensively. They loved southern Arizona so much that they never left. They lived in Benson for several years before moving to Green Valley in 2017. Ron is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kathryn Daniel Hull, and their three children: Linda (Robin) Stuart of Huntsville, Alabama; Laura (Steve) Warrington of Larkspur, Colorado; and Ronald William (Ginny) Hull, Jr., of Auburn, Alabama. Ron and Kathy have six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Clela Underwood Hull, and both of his sisters, Phyllis (Joe) Hanna and Helen (Harry) Kirkpatrick. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held later. Donations to La Via Memory Care can be made in lieu of flowers. Please make checks payable to the La Posada Foundation, annotating that the donation goes to La Via Memory Care. Mail donations to La Posada Foundation, 350 E. Sorry to read about Rons passing. I flew with him as a Flight Engineer at Sheppard AFB, TX and the 3rd Squadron Charleston AFB, SC. An excellent Officer, Aircraft Commander and friend.
