Interment will be at Ocean View Cemetery Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Viewing will be held Friday July 14, 2017 at the funeral home 440 Venning St, Mt. Pleasant S.C. from 3 P.M. to 5 P. M., family will be receiving friends from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the church. Mr. Gathers was the son of the late Esau Sr. and Lucille Gathers, father of MSgt. Dwayne L. Gathers (Birgit), grandfather of SSgt. Jeromie D. Gathers (Taylor), Justin D. Gathers, great-grandfather of Brielle M. Gathers, siblings Esau (Mary), Master Wahoo Rahman (Paula), Frederick (Ella), Aubrey (Pat), Emery, Sheldon (Regina), aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends.
