Have many fun memories of Ron growing up as our backyard neighbor in South Windermere and later working at Belks department store for his dad in the South Windermere store and finally his story career in state and local politics add as a member of my extended in law family through his brother Dick my brother-in-law and another Charleston legend lost.

I first met Ron years ago at a Lion´s Club meeting in downtown Charleston. His late father, Dr. Fulmer, introduced us as being cousins. It seems Dr. Fulmer´s aunt was married to Noah Frick, my great grandfather. Ron and I would see other from time to time around Columbia or Charleston, talked about family and politics. He was a very nice gentleman and my heart goes out to his family. He will certainly be missed. God bless.

This memory always brings us a smile: one Christmas when Ronnie was serving in Vietnam, Emma baked and sent him his favorite fruit cake. He was so happy that he ate the entire cake by himself!

Ron was a sweet and friendly guy. He enjoyed helping people and doing the right thing came very natural to him. His easy and relaxed style is sorely missed in politics today. My condolences to the family.

What a wonderful gentleman he was - I campaigned for him and was delighted with his service. Thanks to his family for their part in his giving to his constituents and for supporting his beliefs.
