To the entire Boals family,
Ronnie was a great guy. He helped me tremendously in political campaigns and after. His generosity was great, and the difference he made around Shem Creek and in Mt. Pleasant and beyond was without measure. God's peace to all of you.

r. Boals was the most influential restauranteur of his generation period.he made decorating, and operating a restaurant into an art form. went I walked into a Boals creation I knew I was in one . it was just different. the art, the chairs, the fixtures, all the way down to the smell. it was his signature. he was a perfectionist in a business that cannot be prefect. but he came close.

My memories are many as he was such a wild one along with my husband, but always a gentleman around me. His success was self made and he lived a life most could not dream of. He was
One of a kind and had such a beautiful wife . One of the funniest stories for me was after my daughter died I moved to Colorado
And Ollie called me and explained how he and Ronnie were eating quite often at S&S Cafeteria . I laughed and thought thank
God.. I miss those days when the area was so small and you knew everyone. Rest in peace Beau..

My wife, Jeannie Colwell, worked as a server at RB's for many years. She adored Mr. Boals (she called him Ronnie). When the first Outback Steakhouse opened in West Ashley, she told Mr. Boals that she hated to leave RB's, but she had been offered a position as one of Outback's first bartenders. The initial week they were open, he made a point of eating at the bar and checking on Jeannie. Also, he left her the largest tip (by far) she ever received in her career in food and beverage. She adored him because he genuinely cared about his people. Ronnie Boals knew that relationships were everything and he valued each and every one of them. RIP, sir, and thank you. My sincerest condolences to his family.

So very sad to hear of Ronnie´s passing. He always worked hard & was a good man. I babysat for Wade & Shane while he worked long hours to achieve his goals. He earned his success & I´m sure he´ll be serving the Trawlers Crab Dip in Heaven.

It´s a sad day for me as well as the family of Ronnie for he was my boy hood friend & neighbor for some years. I was always anxious to see him as we played among the pecan & oak trees in my yard some 70 years ago. Threw friends I kept up with him and heard of his success. I have eaten att his facilities many time but never haven´t seen him since I was 10. We were childhood friends in Holly Hill. My condolences to his family.

All my love and prayers to Mrs Debbie, Wade, Shane, Reagan and the Boals family. Let me first say, thank you for sharing Ronnie with all of us. He has touched so many lives and helped so many people solely out of the kindness of his heart. There are not enough words to convey how wonderful this man has been to me and my family. I will always regard him as my hero. May The Creator welcome him home.

Ronnie was like a second father. He showed me so many things in the restaurant industry, but the most important thing he taught me was how to build relationships with your guests. He was and always will be the Greatest restaurateur I have ever known. Not only was he a Legend in the industry...He was my friend. Thanks for the memories Ronnie, you truly did it your way. Ron Hill

I remember eating at the Loreli when it was the only restaurant on Shem creek. My family used to go have roasted oysters and everything about that restaurant brings back good memories. RB was a true southern host and continued on with the Trawler and that was very successful. He made Shem creek the eatery it is today.

Mr. B was a great man whose work and service ethics were unmatched. I remember working at a restaurant close by and our cooler broke. Without hesitation he reached out and told us to bring all of our food to the Trawler. Such a class act. Rest in Peace Sir. You´ve earned it.

There is no one who worked harder than RB to establish the BEST seafood eateries on the east coast for people from all walks of life to enjoy. RB put Shem Creek on the map and Mt. Pleasant would not be what it is today without his dedication and determination. Rest in peace our friend, you accomplished what you set out to do.
