Roger Johnson Obituary
Roger Wardell Johnson "Smirkey" left this journey to be with the Lord on June 13, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born in Lynchburg on April 15, 1956 to Jeanette Dolsey Johnson and the late Patrick Henry Johnson. He was preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Johnson; two sisters, Ruth Barbara Ann Abbitt and Jeanette Napier. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving devoted Queen, Darlene Johnson; stepdaughter, Shayna Bayes; four grand-
children; two god-daughters, Teah and Dominque Perkins; five brothers, James (Rosell, Carl (Carrie Mae), Howard, Herman (Sabrina) and Marvin; one sister, Odessa (James) Freeman, all Lynchburg; two sister-in-laws, Denise Johnson of Baltimore, Md. and Kathy (Warren) Campbell; a loving mother-in-law, Hilda McCray all of Amherst; a devoted friend, Richard Perkins.
A funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, at St. Paul Baptist Church, Forest with Rev. Darnell Winston, officiating and Rev. Scottie Craft as eulogist. Interment will be in the Archer Creek Cemetery. Military honors will be given by the American Legion Post 16. Condolences may sent to www.Davis-Turner.com.

I was a classmate of Roger's during high school at E.C.
