Robert Wilson Obituary

Robert Weldon Wilson N. CHARLESTON - Robert "Bob" Wilson passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021, at Johns Island Post Acute nursing facility just one day before his 72nd birthday. Growing up across from the Berkeley County Airport, Bob developed a passion at an early age for all things that flew-especially parachutes. He was a skydiver, a Cessna pilot and creator of working, scale-model parachutes whose designs he perfected over the years. Cutting, sewing and testing them himself, they were a marvelous invention and flew beautifully! In leisure times, Bob enjoyed smoking his pipe while listening to his favorite Classic Rock music. He was a kind, generous man with a wry sense of humor-a Christian who never met a stranger and whose positive attitude was an inspiration to all who knew him. He is survived by his sister, Carley Wilson Brown, brother-in-law, Gary Martin Brown, a host of cousins, caregivers and dear friends. A Celebration of His Life will be held at a later date... BLUE SKIES FOREVER, BOB! Visit our guestbook at legacy.com/obituaries/charleston

Beautiful words describing your beloved brother. Robert Wilson was indeed a rare breed whom we will miss dearly. May his soul Rest In Peace. You and Gary are in our thoughts and prayers. I know Latrice and the Staff at Ivory´s II will always remember him. He was so good at remembering all of our names. God bless and keep you both.
