Robert White Obituary

Robert Clark White, born March 2, 1959, at Clark Air Force Base, in Angeles City, Philippines, was sent to his eternal home on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Charleston, South Carolina. Rob was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Robert Joseph White and Arline Frick White. He is survived by his wife of nearly 41 years, Heidi Becker White, and his children, Brittany White Macklin (Emmanual Macklin) and Robert Tyler White; two grandchildren, Layla Allison Trinidad and Pressley Grey Macklin; his brother, Kenneth White (Diane White), his sisters, Christy White and Karen Palazzo; Sister in law, Toni Becker Boswell (Mark Boswell); Nieces, Rebecca Boyd (Billy Boyd), Rachael Gray (Christopher Gray) and Reese Boswell; Nephews, Cody Joseph Mansis and Noah Palazzo (Alana Palazzo); Great Nieces and Nephews, Abbie, Hunter and Audrey and his adored fur babies; Jetty and Morty. Rob was affectionately known by family, friends, and strangers alike. His journey here on Earth was full of laughter, music, and love. After moving around as a young boy, being the son in a military household, Rob graduated from Robinson High School in Tampa, Florida, in 1976. He attended St. Petersburg College and attained his Associate in Arts degree, and worked in management at Burger King. It was there, his life forever changed, as he met his future wife, Heidi. Restaurant operations brought him to Charleston in 1997, and he retired in 2021. Rob always had a passion for all things aviation, music, and sports. There was not a plane in the sky that he could not identify. Queen was his favorite band, and he loved to share their music with everyone he met. On Football Saturday, he cheered for Florida State, and on Football Sunday, it was dedicated to cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He loved to tinker, whether it was building his RC airplanes, putzing with his Corvette, or doing maintenance on the RV; he was always outdoors doing something. His final resting place will be near the ocean breeze in the Florida Keys, one of his favorite places to unwind and relax with his loved ones. Although Rob may no longer be with us physically, his spirit will always be uplifting to us all. The family will receive friends at Parks Funeral Home in Summerville, South Carolina, on Saturday, September 6th at 1:00 in the afternoon. The chapel is the brick building closest to the parking area. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the Save the Music Foundation https:www.savethemusic.org, who work to keep music in public schools in America. Yesterday

Rob was a great guy, I worked with him at Publix and he always had a smile, everytime the sound system played a Queen song he´d always keep count how often they played their songs. My condolences to the family. Paula Oglesby

Yesterday

I never met Rob, but through my good Tampa Bay friend, Dana, I´ve heard great stories about their long friendship. Dana loved Rob and somehow, I feel like I sort of knew him, in a strange way. My condolences to Heidi, family and friends.
