Robert White Obituary

Robert "Steve" White, Sr. RINCON, GA - Robert "Steve" White, Sr., celebrated his heavenly birthday on Thursday, October 6, 2011. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends when he entered his heavenly home to be with our Father in Heaven. "Steve" was 60 years old, born in Bethesda, Maryland on December 10, 1950 and spent his childhood in Saluda, South Carolina. Steve embraced life, spiritual belonging and had great faith in God. He loved his new found church family at Bethel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his family, friends and was never at a loss for humor. He worked for Computer Science Corporation and loved his job and all his co-workers. He was predeceased by his brother, Regie White. He awaits his devoted, loving wife Geraldine (Gluestick); his parents, Bob and Jean White; his children, Beverly Price, Sheriess Singletary (David), Robert S. White, Jr. (Jennifer). In addition, Steve awaits his siblings, Dusty White (Judy), JeNeann Adams (Karl), Wayne White (Liz). He will be missed by his adoring grandchildren, Lindsey Holmes, Dylan Singletary, Will Price, Haylee White, Kaitlynn Singletary and Jackson White, his loving Aunt Birdie and Aunt Carolyn, as well as, numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Viewing will be held Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Bethel Lutheran Church from 3-5 pm, with services following conducted by Rev. Bob LaFavi. Viewing will be held Monday, October 10, 2011 from 1-2 pm at Salem Baptist Church, Saluda, South Carolina, with burial following. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made in honor of Steve to Bethel Lutheran Church, 1984 Highway 21 North, Springfield, GA 31329. Thomas C. Gerri and family, Steve was a welcome light of support, love, and friendship with each and every time I needed his help, both business and personal. I will greatly miss him, though he is with me all the time as we are one. I pray for all of you in this time of sadness. I was truly blessed to have had Steve as part of my life.

I spent a few days with Steve on a work assignment in 2009. His kind-hearted spirit and sense of humor were obvious. I will certainly miss him.
