Robert Weston HOLMES BEACH, FL - In loving memory of Robert Vernon Weston, 71, who died Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in Bradenton, Florida. A resident of Holmes Beach, Florida, Robert was born in Charleston, South Carolina, October 27, 1941, to Vernon and Mary Weston. He graduated from Sewanee: University of the South and Stanford University where he was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow and earned his Ph.D. He was awarded the prestigious postgraduate Wallace Stegner Fellowship. Robert had a career as Director of Human Resources in the high tech industry in California where he lived with his family over 40 years. He was a poet, writer, teacher, and beloved member of the Breakthrough Men's Community in Monterey, California. Most recently, he was certified as a neural somatic integration practitioner. Robert's passions spanned photography, travel, music, healing and meditation. Robert leaves behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Joy ne;e Anderson, a brother Charles Wright Weston, six children, five grandchildren, and a multitude of friends all over the world. He is predeceased by his parents and a brother, Thomas Wylie Weston. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, May 18, 2013, 6:00 p.m. at a private residence, 125 Riverland Drive, Charleston, South Carolina.
