Very saddened to hear the news about Rob. I was a coworker with Rob at Target Corp. in Tifton, GA in the late 90's and we maintained contact throughout the years. We had a common bond as former Army Officers. Rob was an awesome guy and will be missed. I remember Rob as the consummate "can-do" guy; never hit an obstacle he couldn't maneuver around. I always respected that attitude and it encouraged me to emulate it. Take care Rob, see you in the big O-Club one day!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Rob's family. Rob's memorial service was a beautiful celebration of his life. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to see you all while I was there. From the time we met back in 1979 while working together at Western Sizzling', Rob was such a great friend and fun guy to be around. I'm so grateful for the times I got to see him in his last couple of years. I only wish I couldv'e spent more time with him. Missing you buddy!

I grew up with Rob and Gary - and while remember playing basketball at Stella Maris, I could hear them in their backyard being chased by their pet goat. Gary left us too soon and that was something that Rob never wanted to talk about. Rob's love for classic cars and his knowledge of how to fix them was inspirational. Later in life, when I went to AFghanistan, Rob shared with me his combat experiences and I never forget them and I won't forget Rob. RIP Rob Thrasher - you've done more than many could imagine and left us too soon.

Prayers for his family and god bless.

These last three years you have been in the worst war zone ever!
You fought the only way you knew how! So many doors closed on you but you were still trying to make us not worry. The Lord has you in his hands now and you will make him a proud soldier!

My sincerest condolences to the Thrasher Family during this difficult time. Rob and I served together in the 10th MtN Division back in the 80's. Rob was a great officer and was selected to be the aide de camp to the Deputy Commanding General because of his past performance and professionalism. Rob was a very personable and funny guy who was great to be around. Rob was a great father husband and soldier. His troops respect him because he always knew the standards but also took care of them. This all comes as a shock and we will all miss him. We will keep Rob and the Thrasher Family in our prayers

Rob is an American Hero, and a man of great intellect and tremendous heart. I can only imagine how much he sacrificed to keep our country protected. Rob had a great sense of humor, always trying to lighted up a tense situation and make others feel good about themselves during tough times. So long my friend, you will never be forgotten.
