THOMAS, ROBERT CHARLES Pinconning, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw Mr. Thomas age, 79, passed away Friday September 21, 2012 at Medilodge of Sterling. He was born on December 21, 1932 in Gary, Indiana to the late Charles and Margaret (Reynolds) Thomas. He married the former Barbara Emery on September 11, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan. She survives him. Bob retired from General Motors after 32 years of service. He enjoyed bowling, and spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife of 58 years are their children, Gary (Laura) Thomas, Kevin (Shelly) Thomas, Raymond (Rose) Stevens, Terri (Larry) Wilson, and Debra (Dennis Beach) Thomas; two sisters Geraldine (Gerald) Lask, and Vinnie (Ronald) Lich; ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one on the way, sister in law Kay Thomas and several nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by two brothers James and Gerald Thomas. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday September 25, 2012 at 11 am from Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Pastor Reed Schroer presiding with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Monday from 3 to 8 pm. On Tuesday friends may call 10 am until time of service. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Medilodge of Sterling and Heartland Hospice for the compassionate care Bob and his family received. In lieu of flowers those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of their choice.
