Robert Simpson Obituary

Been thinking & talking about my big brother Rob, taken from us to soon to young, over 2 years ago. We his family, me his only sister miss you rob so so very much, each & every day & night your in our thoughts always not a day goes by that we dont miss you. Miss you so that our hearts hurt always so much heavier it's hard to bear, especialy dad so raw with greif, so difficult to see him like it. Spirit I believe is eternal, & one day your family will all reunite in spirit,again eternaly. Until then lots of love your wee Debbie doo dah. XxX

So sad to read of Rob's passing. I am Mark, the son of Bill Marosek (Charleston Utd soccer team : green-and-white stripes) who looked up to Rob. Only 11 years old in 1976 when I met Rob playing for my Dad's team. Great player, cheeky character, so much fun to be around. We travelled from Scotland to be at your wedding when I was 16. My deepest sympathy to you. His smile will always be remembered.

I was so sorry to hear the sad news about Rob, we first met at Woodcroft Primary School when we were four years old and spent many happy times all the way through senior school. I remember his good sense of humour and his skill on the piano. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family.

Although i had not seen Rob for years i remember many happy times as friends growing up on Spur Road estate and attending Spur Road school at the same time. I often caught up with Robs news through mutual friends in London and was shocked to hear the sad news. My deepest sympathy to his family at this time.

I just read this quotation by Thomas Wolfe and thought of Rob

Although it is many years (1976) since we last met I will always remember Rob and Susan's kindness and generosity to me. I was so shocked to learn of Robs passing in such tragic circumstances. I'm so glad that we were recently able to hook up again via the internet.

Rob was a beacon of energy, comradery, and spirit. A great guy who will be missed on and off the set.

I am so sorry, I met Rob through my room mate Emma Dell one of Robs family members. He was always funny and kind. I can't imagine the pain you must be suffering. Please know that all of you are in my prayers. My hope is that God will wrap his loving arms around you and comfort you.

Met Rob on the first Hunger Games and we were instant friends. He would climb into my Stakebed everyday and have something amusing to say. He cared about people, how they were doing, and their family too. He looked out for people and some never knew it. Rob and Susan treated my family like family, memories we will have forever. You have a bunch of teamster brothers and sisters that miss you Rob!

As a Saturday Road neighbor, i was so sorry to here of your loss. I will miss seeing Rob readying his boat for a good day on the creek. My prayers for all of you at this difficult time.

I only got the chance to meet Mr. Simpson a few times through Taylor. He was always a very kind, hospitable and upbeat person that I always enjoyed. He will be missed. Rest in peace.

Rob always made us feel like we were family. An always open door and heart that brought warmth to all who encountered him. It's immeasurable the loss to his family and friends. There is forever a void.

Played football (soccer) with Rob back in the early 70s in Edgware. Lovely guy. RIP

One of the first people I met in the film industry, (G I Jane) we worked together on many productions. Always a great guy that you could depend on to get along with everyone. When we worked together in Asheville I needed a cast driver for Woody H, he was my first thought, what a great person to be around. A great loss to the world, a true friend. And so sad cause his family was always his first thought. I will miss Rob like no other, and so sorry for his family!

We are thinking and praying for you all during this difficult time. We always loved Rob's spirit, his smile and his inspiring love for life, the water, and most importantly...his family.

We were so sorry to hear about Bobs passing. We both have so many memories of spending time with Bob Susan and Gladys so many years ago. We reminisced today about the fact that if it weren't for Rob none of our family would be here today. He was a great man and will be missed by many. How sorry we were to learn that this was the gentleman who, with his wife, rescued our teen twin sons from the sandbar at Sullivan's island a couple of years ago when a white squall blew in. My husband and daughter and I enjoyed sharing a table with you and Rob earlier this month at 34 West. We enjoyed you as much as we did the show! Our condolences on your loss. We were so sad to learn of his passing. Godspeed to you.

What an amazing person! I've worked with Rob over the years, last year here in Asheville. He was a true friend and Teamster brother. His personality was electrifying, along with his sense of humor. He just loved life. His family was his everything, always wanting to be with them, driving home on the weekends or having them come here to camp or anything that they may want to do. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. It's so heartbreaking. I feel truly blessed to have met such a man. He will be missed! "RIP Rob at God speed"!

I first met Rob on The Notebook. That smile and cheerful outlook was encountered on many films afterwards. You couldn't not like Rob. He made a bright spot in an otherwise hard day.

I miss him sorely now. No longer bicycling past my work room to smile at me and wish me a good day. I still expect to see him. Rob, you are missed.

Rob was a wonderful person. My Son and I worked with him on film sets for the last 10 years. He was always kind and funny and sweet. He will be missed.

Dearest Robert one of our best memories of you was when you and Susan made us so welcome when we visited you in 1988 ,and you taught our children Kim Kevin to water ski ,our 4-5 days with you seemed to last far longer with all the fun we crammed in on our short stay . We also still use the wonderful recipe for prawns that you showed us to this day . Trevor and I will miss you so much . All our love to Susan and family . Rest in peace love Lynn your cousin.

I worked with Rob on Secrets and Lies. What a wonderful person, I looked forward to seeing him each day. It seems nothing got him riled up, he took everything in stride and always smiled. He will be missed.

Mr. Simpson was always so kind and nice to me. He always made sure all of us were well fed and well entertained anytime any of us hung out with them. It was an absolute privilege and honor to know him.

Rob was an amazing man, and an amazing friend. Full of life and love for everyone that was around him. I am honored that I was able to know him for so many years. He will be missed by many. Prayers to his family and friends in this time of sorrow.

Rob and I worked together on a show for six months this year.I have never met anyone like him.We golfed together and talked about life and family.He made me laugh every day.I will miss my dear friend as will so many others.Bless him Lord and his family.

I met Rob during my holidays to Charleston and when he came to Troon, Scotland golfing with his friends. Even though I didn't know him well I called him a friend.
