Bruce was truly a gentleman lawyer. I spent many days in the courtroom with him when we were on opposite sides in asbestos litigation. He was a formidable adversary but he was honest and kind. I am deeply sorry to learn of his passing.

Alice, Robert, and Ashley, I am truly sad to learn of your father's death. I knew he wasn't very mobile, but did not know he had other issues. I have many fond memories of him and spending time with you all. He was indeed a brilliant attorney, but I think he felt his greatest accomplishment was the 3 of you. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, and of course Molly, who I understand was a loving companion and caregiver.
xoxo Nancy

Bruce was a treasure. I was fortunate to call him a friend and a summer neighbor on Lake Murray. Condolences to Alice, Ashley, Robert and all the family. Bill

I have such fond memories of Mr. Shaw from my days at Nelson Mullins back in the 1980´s. He was a brilliant lawyer, witty and funny. He will be missed!

Very smart and capable lawyer. Taught me to think. And quite funny to boot. A founding member of the Nelson Mullins law firm. A substantial part of its backbone. Rest in Peace Bruce.
