I wish to express my condolences on the loss of your loved one. Robert Roe, Robert Jeffcoat and Robert Withers met on a bus going from Charleston to Columbia where we took the oath to defend the Constitution of the United States of America. We went to Bainbridge, Maryland for boot camp, and after six weeks we were assigned to an Outgoing Unit. One of my memories is the three of us going to Washington, DC to visit the Washington Monument during liberty. We paid five cents admission. When we were reassigned, we each went to different locations and it was then that I unfortunately lost contact with Robert. I have a picture of us in uniform and hopefully one day I can find it.

Mr. Roe was a class act as I knew him from the early seventies and he was always a pleasure to be around. I also knew his wife and she was much the same. What a wonderful couple! They lived life to the fullest and inspired others by their example. I have also known their youngest son, Tony, who I have the highest regard. I express my condolences but am privileged to have known him. May God bless him and the family.

A wonderful man, who was such a blessing for my Mother and my family. Bob and Jean were so blessed to have had wonderful loving marriages. And then after their spouses passed, they found a new love. Not many people are so fortunate. Watch over us Bob, we love you!

Jean, Theresa, Millie, Ken, and Tony,
I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your wonderful father. Bob was a wonderful man who I admired very much as a child. He and Norma both were like a second set of parents to me when I was young and they, along with their wonderful kids, helped shape me into the person I am today. Bob was an extraordinary man who was always so very kind and gentle. He will be missed but never forgotten. My prayers go out to all of you at this most difficult time. God Bless!
